TORONTO — The Toronto Blue Jays reinstated right-hander Marcus Stroman from the 60-day disabled list Friday and recalled reliever Chad Jenkins from triple-A Buffalo.

Stroman is expected to make his regular-season debut in the second game of a doubleheader Saturday against the New York Yankees.

The 24-year-old underwent surgery last March after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, an injury that was expected to keep him out the entire season.

Stroman was 11-6 with a 3.65 earned-run average in 26 appearances as a rookie in 2014.

To make room on the roster, the Blue Jays transferred second baseman Devon Travis from the 15-day to the 60-day disabled list.
