Blue Jays add pitcher Luis Santos, DFA Nick Tepesch

The Toronto Blue Jays have selected the contract of minor-league pitcher Luis Santos, while fellow hurler Nick Tepesch has been designated for assignment.

Santos, 26, has never pitched in the big-leagues. He split the 2017 season with double-A New Hampshire and triple-A Buffalo. He went 3-13 with a 4.16 ERA, while posting 102 strikeouts and 47 walks in 114.2 innings.

Tepesch, 28, made three starts with the Blue Jays since being acquired from Minnesota. He went 1-1 with a 5.14 ERA in 14 innings with Toronto.
