Blue Jays call up Howell, Oberholtzer from triple-A Buffalo

The Toronto Blue Jays have called up left-handers J.P. Howell and Brett Oberholtzer from triple-A Buffalo ahead of Monday night’s game against the Chicago White Sox.

Howell appeared in 13 games for the Blue Jays earlier this season, posting an 8.31 ERA and 2.192 WHIP in 8.2 innings of work.

Oberholtzer has a 3-7 record with a 4.48 ERA and 1.56 WHIP in 18 starts with the Buffalo Bisons in 2017.
