Bautista, Travis exits Blue Jays game early

Jose Bautista left the game after injuring his hamstring during an at bat.

The Toronto Blue Jays had a tough night on the injury front.

Just a hour or so after second baseman Devon Travis left Tuesday night’s game with shoulder irritation, Jose Bautista pulled up awkwardly following an eighth-inning at-bat and left the game due to what looked like a hamstring issue.

However, the Blue Jays slugger told reporters following the game that it was nothing more than a cramp and he expects to be fine on Wednesday.

Travis, who hit a solo home run out of the lead-off spot in his plate appearance of the game, was replaced at second base by Danny Valencia.

The 24-year-old dealt with a shoulder issue earlier in the season, going on the disabled list in mid-May due to shoulder inflammation.

Travis is in his first season with the Blue Jays, batting .302/.360/.484 with 18 doubles, seven home runs and 42 strikeouts in 237 plate appearances.
