The honours just keep piling up for Toronto Blue Jays third baseman and American League MVP Josh Donaldson.

Riding the momentum of his video-game-like 2015 season, it has been announced that Donaldson will grace the cover of Playstation’s MLB 16: The Show.

A trailer has been released for the latest instalment of the popular franchise, and the Blue Jays are featured heavily throughout.

This marks the first time a Toronto player has landed on the front of the United States release. Jose Bautista, Russell Martin and former Blue Jay Brett Lawrie have all been pictured on Canadian covers of the game in the past.

In his first season with his new team, Donaldson slashed .297/.371/.568, blasting 41 home runs while driving in an American League-high 123 runs.

MLB 16: The Show will be released on March 29, 2016.
