Toronto Blue Jays pitching prospect Daniel Norris says his elbow is feeling good and ready for the upcoming season.

The 21-year-old left-hander battled mechanical issues when he debuted for the Blue Jays last September, and he had off-season surgery to remove bone spurs in his pitching elbow. But he told Dean Blundell & Co. on Sportsnet 590 the FAN that he’s feeling much better now.

“At the end of the year when I was in Toronto, obviously I had stuff going on with my arm and I think I was trying to over-compensate with messing around with my mechanics, trying to make my arm work. So that was kind of when things went haywire. I was just trying to find a different method so my arm wouldn’t hurt when I threw,” Norris said.

“But now that I’ve had the surgery everything is back to normal and I just feel great and ready to go.”
