Blue Jays’ Pillar, Martin, Buehrle named Gold Glove finalists

Watch as Kevin Pillar pulls a Rajai Davis to scale the outfield wall at the Rogers Centre to rob Tim Beckham of a home run.

Three members of the Toronto Blue Jays have been named finalists for Gold Glove awards.

Centre fielder Kevin Pillar, catcher Russell Martin and pitcher Mark Buehrle are each up for consideration. Rawlings Sports, the sponsor for the award, tweeted the list of Gold Glove finalists Thursday.

It comes as no surprise Pillar was nominated. The 26-year-old was a human highlight reel as he led all outfielders in putouts with 440.

Martin, a Gold Glove winner in 2007, was a steady presence behind the plate in his first season with the Blue Jays.

Buehrle is a four-time Gold Glove winner, but hasn’t earned one during his time with the Blue Jays.

The winners will be announced Nov. 10. Here is the full list of finalists:
