The Toronto Blue Jays will promote top prospects Bo Bichette and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. to single-A Dunedin after Sunday’s MLB Futures Game.
Both players have been thriving with the low-A Lansing Lugnuts. The 19-year-old Bichette has posted a .383 batting average and 1.068 OPS in the Midwest League. The shortstop was the Blue Jays’ second-round pick in 2016.
Guerrero, 18, has played in 70 games for Lansing (61 at third base, nine at DH) and carries a hearty .411 on-base percentage. He has six home runs and 44 RBIs this season.
Bichette will suit up for the U.S. team in the Futures Game while Guerrero has a spot on the World roster.
