Cabrera thanks Blue Jays fans on Instagram

Former Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Melky Cabrera talks about signing with the Chicago White Sox.

Chicago White Sox outfielder Melky Cabrera, who spent two seasons with the Toronto Blue Jays, said one last goodbye to the fans on his Instagram account.

“A final thanks to all my blue jays fan who supported me throughout my 2 years journey in Toronto and the Blue jays organization for the opportunity they gave me I will miss you guys, the fans and my teammates but it’s time to move on here’s to this new chapter on my new team the chicago White sox lets go @whitesox thank you God…”

The outfielder also took to Twitter to bid farewell to Toronto’s fans.

Cabrera signed a three-year, $42 million contract with the White Sox on Sunday. The Jays will receive a draft pick as compensation.

The 30-year-old batted .293 with 19 home runs and 103 RBI in 227 games as a Blue Jay.
