Texas Rangers second baseman Rougned Odor may be facing an eight-game suspension for his now-famous punch to the face of Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Jose Bautista, but he’s certainly received his fair share of perks as well. You can scratch one of the positives off the list, though.
The 22-year-old was originally slated to be sign autographs at a local memorabilia store on June 4, but the event has been cancelled. Odor was reportedly going to sign a photo of himself for the price of $59 and $99 for a shot depicting the punch.
Inscriptions were also going be available for an additional $20. The store’s manager said Odor was going to sign inscriptions saying ‘Don’t Mess with Texas’ and ‘Bat Flip will get you a Fat Lip.’
This news came on the heels of the Rangers naming a minor-league drink after the incident, and a Texas restaurant rewarding Odor with free barbecue for life.
