Jon Paul Morosi explains to Jeff Blair many reasons why he's an advocate for the World Baseball Classic, and why we should be too, and even gives his prediction on who will take home the prize.

Canadian pitcher Adam Loewen has withdrawn from the World Baseball Classic and will be replaced by Ryan Kellogg, Baseball Canada announced Wednesday.

Kellogg, a member of the Chicago Cubs since being drafted in the fifth round in 2015, played the 2016 season with Single-A South Bend. In 130.2 innings, the Whitby, Ont. native went 9-7 with a 3.03 ERA.

Kellogg’s previous international experience includes helping the Junior National Team claim silver medals at the COPABE 18U Pan Am Championships (2011) and IBAF 18U Baseball World Cup (2012).
