Twitter reaction: Blue Jays clinch AL East, fans go insane

Check out the sights and sounds of the Blue Jays celebrating their AL East title, from champagne showers to dancing pitchers.

Merry Clinchmas, Jays fans.

For the first time since 1993, the Toronto Blue Jays clinched the AL East as they stomped all over the Baltimore Orioles 15-2 in the first game of a doubleheader Wednesday.

Blue Jays fans, who have been waiting 22 years for playoff baseball to return to Toronto, were giddy on social media. In fact, #ClinchDay was the No. 1 trending topic in Canada near the conclusion of the game and #ALEastChamps was the top trend in the country not long after the team officially clinched the division.

The Blue Jays lost the second game of the doubleheader, but that had no impact on how the team celebrated once they got back into the clubhouse.

Never gets old. #Blessed
