Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is set to make his U.S. debut Thursday with the Bluefield Blue Jays, a rookie-advanced minor-league affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays.
The 17-year-old Blue Jays prospect is the son of former MLB star Vladimir Guerrero, who spent 16 big-league seasons with the Montreal Expos, Los Angeles Angels, Baltimore Orioles and Texas Rangers.
Sportsnet’s Jeff Blair wrote an extensive profile of Guerrero Jr. earlier this season.
The Blue Jays signed Guerrero Jr. as an international prospect last season.
