Andrea Bargnani is taking his talents to Europe.
The first overall draft pick by the Toronto Raptors in 2006 has signed with Spanish club Saski Baskonia after 10 seasons in the NBA.
Over his professional career, Bargnani has averaged 14.3 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. Nicknamed ‘Il Mago,’ his best year came with the Raptors in 2010-11 when he scored better than 21 points per contest.
The 30-year-old spent this past season with the Brooklyn Nets, struggling to find consistent playing time. A native of Italy, Bargnani joins a Baskonia team that lost in the league semi-finals and is regarded as one of the better clubs in Spain.
Bargnani’s NBA career is on the shelf for now, but at least we’ll always have this.
