Canadian basketball icon Steve Nash announced his retirement over the weekend and will formally address the media with a press conference on Tuesday.
You can see what the Victoria native has to say live at 4:25 p.m. ET / 1:25 p.m. PT on Sportsnet, Sportsnet 590 The Fan and right here on sportsnet.ca.
Nash revealed his decision with a letter on The Players’ Tribune. The 41-year-old point guard has battled injuries over his three years with the Los Angeles Lakers and hasn’t even played this season due to back and nerve issues.
He retires as a two-time NBA MVP and eight-time all-star. Nash currently sits third in league history with 10,335 assists — behind only John Stockton and Jason Kidd.
