Raptors commission Graffiti murals across Canada for playoffs

The Toronto Raptors will face the Pacers in the first round of the playoffs after Indiana beat the New York Knicks and the Detroit Pistons fell to the Miami Heat.

The Toronto Raptors are getting nationwide support for the playoffs… through art.

Graffiti murals made to highlight their upcoming playoff run were designed by artist Alex Chung. The Raptors then found artists in six different cities across Canada, (Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Halifax, Calgary, and Vancouver) to complete a portion of the work.

Check out some of the artists renderings:

The Ottawa mural, by Cassandra Dickie and Marc Sirus, highlights the Raptors’ We The North slogan.

The Calgary mural, as seen below, by Cripl.

All of the murals are expected to be completed by Apr. 15.
