It appears that Amir Johnson’s time with the Toronto Raptors has come to an end.
According to a report from Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, the long-time Raptors power forward has reached an agreement on a two-year deal worth $24 million with the Boston Celtics.
Johnson, 28, spent the last six seasons with Toronto, averaging 8.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game. He scored an average of 9.3 points with 6.1 rebounds on 57 percent shooting this past season.
He was expected to depart the Raptors as an unrestricted free agent.
The Raptors reached an agreement with free agent forward DeMarre Carroll earlier on Wednesday and are expected to heavily pursue free agent Wes Matthews.
