Canadian Anthony Bennett continues to struggle to find the right fit in professional basketball.

The former No. 1 overall NBA draft pick has been cut by Turkish club Fenerbahce just about two weeks before the 2017 EuroLeague Final Four kicks off, EuroHoops.net is reporting.

Bennett signed with Fenerbahce in January after getting waived by the Brooklyn Nets and appeared in eight regular-season games and one post-season contest with the Turkish club. The 24-year-old averaged 1.3 points and 1.0 rebound per game.

Bennett was drafted first overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2013 after a phenomenal freshman year at UNLV that saw him named Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Year and first-team All-Mountain West Conference. But in four NBA seasons — including one with the Toronto Raptors — he struggled mightily, averaging 4.4 points and 3.1 rebounds per game on 39.2 per cent shooting across 151 games played.

Bennett is being replaced by one-time Atlanta Hawk Pero Antic. Fenerbahce will take on Real Madrid in their EuroLeague Final Four semi-final on May 19.
