The Carter Effect, a documentary about Vince Carter, will premiere at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival in September.

The documentary explores Carter’s relationship with the Toronto Raptors, a franchise he was the face of throughout the first six and a half years of his NBA career.

Carter made six all-star teams with the Raptors, while also winning the Slam Dunk Competition in 2000, but his messy breakup with Toronto during the 2004-05 season still holds a cloud over his memorable tenure.

TIFF will run The Carter Effect between Sept. 7 and 17, a month before the former Raptor gets set to play in his 20th NBA season. This is UNINTERRUPTED’s second documentary directed by Sean Menard and is executive produced by LeBron James, Maverick Carter, Drake and Adel Future Nur.
