Toronto quarterback Ricky Ray returned to practice today and could give the struggling Argonauts the boost they need later this week when they visit first-place Calgary.
He was working with the first team offence, suggesting he will be back under centre when the team visits the Stampeders on Friday night.
Ray has been on the six-game injured list since suffering a fractured rib and deflated lung in a Labour Day loss to Hamilton.
Toronto (5-11) has lost five straight and nine of its last 10 games to barely remain in playoff contention in the East Division.
The Argos trail second-place Hamilton (6-9) in the East Division.
After facing Calgary, they’ll finish their regular season visiting Edmonton (8-7) on Nov. 5.
