PORTLAND, Ore. — Adin Hill made 41 saves and Oliver Bjorkstrand had two goals and two assists as the Portland Winterhawks downed the Kelowna Rockets 7-3 on Tuesday in Western Hockey League playoff action.
The Winterhawks now lead the best-of-seven Western Conference final 2-1. Game 4 goes Wednesday in Portland.
Paul Bittner, Chase De Leo, Alex Schoenborn, Dominic Turgeon and Keoni Texeira also scored for the Winterhawks while Nicolas Petan tacked on three helpers.
Riley Stadel, Cole Linaker and Leon Draisaitl supplied the offence for the Rockets.
Jackson Whistle started in net for Kelowna but was yanked after giving up four goals on 18 shots. Michael Herringer stopped 19-of-22 shots in 26:09 of relief.
Portland went 4 for 8 on the power play while the Rockets scored once on four chances with the man advantage.

HITMEN 2, WHEAT KINGS 1 (OT)
CALGARY — Adam Tambellini scored twice — including 3:07 into overtime — as the Hitmen slipped past Brandon in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference final.
Brendan Burke turned away 33-of-34 shots for Calgary, which still trails the best-of-seven series 2-1.
John Quenneville found the back of the net for the Wheat Kings, who got a 30-save outing from Jordan Papirny.
The Hitmen will try and tie the series when they host Game 4 on Wednesday.
