Max Talbot is a disgrace to Quebec. Apparently.
The Boston Bruins forward — and native of Lemoyne, Que. — took to the streets of Montreal recently to ask unsuspecting Montreal Canadiens fans what they thought of their most hated rival, the Bruins.
The video has all the ingredients of an awesomely awkward masterpiece — a pro hockey player, a vicious rivalry, and plenty of passionate hockey fans who wouldn’t recognize Talbot if, well, he approached them with a microphone. It doesn’t disappoint.
(Perhaps this is some overdue payback from that time Max Pacioretty teamed up with McDonald’s to bring the “Max 67” burger to Bostonians.)
The best part comes when one unknowing fan tells Talbot that he’s a disgrace to the province — yes, the entire province — of Quebec. (He not only lived to tell the tale, but actually had the guts to ask Talbot for a photo once the truth was revealed. Bold move, man.)
