Blackhawks sign goaltender Jean-Francois Berube to two-year deal

Pittsburgh's Kris Letang scored the only goal of the shootout with a pretty backhand past New York Islanders rookie goalie Jean-Francois Berube to lift the Penguins to a 2-1 victory on Tuesday night.

The Chicago Blackhawks have signed 25-year-old goaltender Jean-Francois Berube to a two-year deal.

Berube compiled a 3-2-2 record with a 3.42 goals-against average and .889 save percentage with the New York Islanders last season.

He was originally drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the fourth round of the 2009 draft.
