The Columbus Blue Jackets have claimed forward Jussi Jokinen off of waivers from the Los Angeles Kings.

Jokinen has one goal and five assists this season, split between the Kings and Edmonton Oilers.

Los Angeles acquired the Finnish winger from Edmonton on Nov. 14 in a trade for Michael Cammalleri.

The 34-year-old has 187 goals and 552 points in 923 career NHL games, and has a 29.7 per cent success rate in the shootouts for his career.

He carries a $1.1-million cap hit this season, after which he’ll be an unrestricted free agent.

Columbus also placed forward Sonny Milano on injured reserve with a torn oblique.

The 21-year-old is expected to miss four to six weeks.

He has eight goals and five assists in 35 games this season.

Forward Tyler Motte has been recalled from AHL Cleveland.

Motte, 22, has six goals and two assists in nine games with the Monsters this season.
