Blue Jackets lose Ryan Murray for 4-6 weeks

Blue Jackets' defenceman Ryan Murray was injured after blocking a Blues shot that resulted in a collision with a teammate.

Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman has about as much luck as Olli Maatta.

The Blue Jackets announced today that Murray will miss 4-6 weeks with a high-ankle sprain sustained when teammate Ryan Johansen fell on him during Friday’s game.

The 21-year-old also missed the first seven games of the season because of an off-season knee surgery on his right knee.

Murray has appeared in just seven games this season because of all his injuries, notching one assist and six penalty minutes in those contests.

The good news is that this injury is on his left leg, and not the leg that he had surgery on in the off-season.
