Report: Malcolm Subban hospitalized after taking puck to throat

Boston Bruins prospect Malcolm Subban was taken to the hospital Saturday after a scary incident prior to an AHL game between the Providence Bruins and Portland Pirates.

According to Chris Roy, a Pirates beat reporter, Subban was transported by ambulance to a local hospital after taking a puck to the throat.

Subban, the younger brother of Montreal Canadiens star P.K. Subban, is 14-8-5 in 27 AHL appearances this season. He was selected 24th overall by the Bruins in 2012.
