As of Saturday afternoon, Buffalo Sabres centre Zemgus Girgensons leads all forwards and sits second overall in the 2015 NHL All-Star Fan Vote.

Seriously. He has more votes than Sidney Crosby.

The 20-year-old Latvian is having a solid sophomore season with six goals, six assists in 23 games this season — he also has a plus-6 rating on a team with the worst goal differential in the league (minus-34) — but his place among the top vote getters is somewhat of a surprise.

With all due respect to Mr. Girgensons, one of these things is not like the others.

1. P.K. Subban, Montreal Canadiens
2. Zemgus Girgensons, Buffalo Sabres
3. Sidney Crosby, Pittsburgh Penguins
4. Carey Price, Montreal Canadiens
5. Patrick Kane, Chicago Blackhawks
