The Montreal Canadiens have made defenceman Brandon Davidson available to trade and have sent an email to all other NHL teams indicating so, a source has told Sportsnet.

Davidson, 26, has been a healthy scratch for the past three games and has appeared in 13 contests this season. He has one assist, nine penalty minutes and a minus-three rating.

Davidson was originally acquired from the Edmonton Oilers on Feb. 28 for forward David Desharnais.
