Montreal Canadiens defenceman Mark Barberio is out indefinitely after suffering a concussion in the second period of Wednesday’s 3-2 overtime win over the Buffalo Sabres.
Barberio, who signed with the Canadiens as an unrestricted free agent last summer, is one of nine players on the team’s injured reserve list. He started the season with the St. John’s IceCaps, scoring two goals and 18 assists in 26 games.
Barberio, a pending restricted free agent, scored two goals and eight assists in 30 games with the Canadiens this season.
