The Vancouver Canucks have assigned defence prospect Olli Juolevi to their AHL affiliate, the team announced Saturday.
Juolevi, the fifth-overall pick in the 2016 NHL Draft, will join the Utica Comets. The 21-year-old is coming off knee surgery performed last December.
He suited up in 18 games with the Comets last season, his first in the AHL, recording 13 points.
The Canucks also announced that Justin Bailey, Brogan Rafferty, Lukas Jasek, Kole Lind and Josh Teves were sent to Utica and Landon Ferraro was released from his PTO.
