VANCOUVER — Canucks forward Chris Higgins will miss at least three weeks with a fractured right foot.

Higgins took a slap shot off that foot in Vancouver’s game Monday night against the San Jose Sharks.

The 32-year-old was seen in a walking boot earlier Tuesday.

The team announced before its game Tuesday night that further tests revealed a bone fracture in Higgins’s foot.

Higgins will be re-evaluated in three weeks, the Canucks said.

The left winger from Smithtown, N.Y., is going into his 11th season.

He had 12 goals and 24 assists for the Canucks last year.
