Canucks re-sign Tanev to 1-year contract

The Vancouver Canucks have re-signed restricted free agent Chris Tanev to a one-year contract.

Canucks general manager Jim Benning announced the signing Saturday.

The 24-year-old defenceman from Toronto had six goals and 11 assists in 64 games with the club last season.

Tanev has eight goals and 19 assists in 156 career games over four seasons with Vancouver.

The club also re-signed defenceman Peter Andersson. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
