Canucks recall defenceman Troy Stecher from AHL

The Vancouver Canucks has failed to find the back of the net in four of the last five games. But it is not because the team is playing poorly which is what makes the last stretch extra frustrating for the team.

The Vancouver Canucks recalled defenceman Troy Stecher from the AHL’s Utica Comets Friday, the team announced.

Stecher, 22, has played in three games for the Canucks this season, his first three in the NHL. The rookie had been demoted just two days ago.

The native of Richmond, B.C. was signed as an undrafted free agent by Vancouver in April.
