Canucks trade Dane Fox to Hurricanes for future considerations

The Vancouver Canucks have made a minor deal, sending forward Dane Fox to the Carolina Hurricanes for future considerations.

Fox will be sent to the Charlotte Checkers of the AHL, after having spent the majority of the season with the Kalamazoo Wings in the ECHL.

The 22-year-old signed with the Canucks organization in December of 2013, during his final year with the OHL’s Erie Otters. He scored a league-leading 64 goals that season and finished with 107 points in 67 games.

He spent the 2014-15 season with Kalamazoo where finished second on the team in goals with 30, and was leading the Wings with 26 goals in 53 games this season at the time of the deal.
