Teams participating in the 2016 World Cup of Hockey must name their initial 16-man rosters by March 2 and the brightest spotlight will be on Team Canada.
One mystery surrounding Canada’s roster is which goalies will make the cut. According to Sportsnet’s Damien Cox, fans can bank on Carey Price being named to the 16-man roster despite his injury.
The reigning Hart and Vezina Trophy winner has not played since suffering a lower-body injury on Nov. 25 and the Montreal Canadiens have plummeted in the standings ever since.
Price, who led Canada to a gold medal at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics, is expected to return to the Canadiens lineup later this month barring any setbacks.
