The Montreal Canadiens bested the Detroit Red Wings Tuesday night and they will prepare to hit the road later this week with some good news on the Carey Price front.
Price will travel to Florida with the Canadiens when they begin a quick road swing Thursday versus the Tampa Bay Lightning, Canadiens coach Michel Therrien confirmed.
Price has not played since Nov. 25, missing 65 games due to an injury to his right knee.
While there’s no indication Price will play Thursday against the Lightning or Saturday versus the Florida Panthers. There’s no guarantee he will participate in practice either. Still, it’s a positive sign with regards to his recovery.
Price has appeared in just 12 games this season and has a 2.06 goals-against average and a .934 save percentage.
The Canadiens have five games remaining on the schedule this season.
