The New Jersey Devils re-signed defenceman Marek Zidlicky on Tuesday.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed but Zidlicky, who was set to become an unrestricted free agent July 1, reportedly inked a one-year, $3 million contract, with a potential $1 million bonus.

Zidlicky led all Devils defencemen with 12 goals and 42 points in 2013-14 and represented the Czech Republic at the Sochi Olympics.

The 37-year-old Zidlicky has 78 goals and 289 assists for 367 points in 699 career NHL games with Nashville, Minnesota and New Jersey.

Zidlicky was originally a sixth-round pick of the New York Rangers in 2001 and was acquired by the Devils from Minnesota on Feb. 24, 2012.
