Dion Phaneuf left Tuesday’s game with a lower-body injury, according to the Ottawa Senators.

The injury appeared to occur on the last shift of the game for Phaneuf. After the game, Sens coach Dave Cameron said Phaneuf would miss Wednesday’s game against the Islanders, but wasn’t sure exactly how long Phaneuf would be out for.

The defenceman has eight points in 20 games with the Senators since being dealt from the Toronto Maple Leafs.
