Flames re-sign Brett Kulak to one-year, two-way deal

The Calgary Flames have re-signed Brett Kulak to a one-year, two-way contract with a salary of $650,000 at the NHL level.

Kulak was originally drafted by the Flames in the fourth round (105th overall) of the 2012 Draft. The six-foot-two defenceman played in 21 games last season for Calgary, posting three assists and 12 penalty minutes.

The Alberta native also spent time last season with the Flames’ AHL affiliate the Stockton Heat, playing in 22 games on his way to two gaols and eight assists.
