Flyers’ Brandon Manning suspended 2 games for hit on Guentzel

Brandon Manning caught Jake Guentzel with what appeared to be a massive hit to the head, but no penalty was called on the play.

Philadelphia Flyers defenceman Brandon Manning has been suspended two games for his hit on Pittsburgh’s Jake Guentzel.

Manning hit Guentzel during the second period Saturday’s Stadium Series game, well after the Penguins forward had touched the puck.

No penalty was assessed for the hit.
