Golden Knights claim goaltender Malcolm Subban off waivers from Bruins

The Vegas Golden Knights have claimed goaltender Malcolm Subban from the Boston Bruins.

Subban was a first-round pick in 2012, taken 24th overall by Boston.

He played most of last season in AHL Providence, finishing the year with a 2.41 goals-against average and .917 save percentage.

The 23-year-old appeared in one game for Boston, giving up three goals in 16 shots in a loss to the Minnesota Wild.

The Colorado Avalanche were also active on the waiver wire, picking up Swedish defenceman Patrik Nemeth from the Dallas Stars.

Nemeth had three assists in 40 games last season with Dallas.
