The Vegas Golden Knights have signed Tomas Hyka to a two-way, entry-level contract.
Hyka spent the past three seasons playing with BK Mlada Boleslav in his native Czech Republic. The 5-11, 174-pound forward had 17 goals and 38 points in 48 games last season.
The 24-year-old was originally a sixth-round pick, 171st overall, in 2012 by the Los Angeles Kings. He spent two seasons in the QMJHL with the Gatineau Olympiques and attended the Philadelphia Flyers‘ training camp in 2011. But a clerical error kept the Flyers from signing him.
Hyka is the third player to sign with the Golden Knights. Brandon Wheat Kings forward Reid Duke signed with the team in March and KHL star Vadim Shipachyov signed in May.
