The Colorado Avalanche are short a couple goalies with Semyon Varlamov and Reto Berra currently out with injuries, but they’ve turned down the services of Ilya Bryzgalov.
According to Sportsnet’s Damien Cox, Bryzgalov’s agent reached out to Avalanche brass and the team wasn’t interested in adding the veteran netminder.

Bryzgalov attended Minnesota Wild training camp on a professional tryout offer, but was released prior to the regular season.
The 34-year-old Russian spent last year split between the Wild and Edmonton Oilers, however he hasn’t played a full season in the NHL since the lockout-shortened 2012-13 campaign that he spent with the Philadelphia Flyers.
