New York Islanders forward Valtteri Filppula will miss the next four weeks with an upper-body injury.

Filppula appeared to suffer the injury in the first period of Tuesday’s loss to the Boston Bruins after taking a hard hit from Connor Clifton.

Filppula has posted 15 goals and 14 assists in 71 games with the Islanders, who are jostling for the top seed in the Metropolitan Division.
