Jets’ Marko Dano out after taking stick to face

Marko Dano was forced to leave the game on Tuesday after he appeared to take a high stick close to his eye from Kyle Quincey.

Winnipeg Jets forward Marko Dano has left Tuesday’s game against the New Jersey Devils with an upper-body injury and will not return.

Dano was clipped by the stick of Devils defenceman Kyle Quincey in front of the New Jersey net at 15:39 of the first period. No penalty was called on the play.

The 22-year-old went down and had to be helped off the ice.

He has three goals and three assists this season, after being acquired last February in the deal that sent Andrew Ladd to Chicago.
