The Winnipeg Jets have signed Logan Stanley, their second of two first round picks from the 2016 draft, to a three-year NHL entry-level contract.

The Jets took the 6-foot-7 defenceman with the 18th overall pick after making a deal with the Philadelphia Flyers to move up four spots in order to get him. The 22nd overall pick they traded originally came from the Chicago Blackhawks in the Andrew Ladd trade.

The contract has a reportedly $1,137,500 average annual value.

The 18-year-old is currently in the middle of his third season with the Windsor Spitfires where he has totalled seven goals and 23 assists in 143 games.
