The Toronto Maple Leafs have claimed forward Seth Griffith off waivers from the Florida Panthers.

The 24-year-old centre was waived by the Leafs on Nov. 11 after playing just three games with the club. Toronto had originally claimed him off waivers from the Boston Bruins on Oct. 11.

This time around, he will be joining the Toronto Marlies in the AHL.

Griffith played 21 games with the Panthers and registered five assists, averaging 13:12 minutes per game. He was originally a fifth round draft pick of the Bruins in 2012 and has six goals and ten assists in 58 career NHL games.

The native of Wallaceburg, Ont. could see the ice soon as the Marlies play road games on Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.
