Joffrey Lupul is hurt once again.
The Toronto Maple Leafs forward exited Wednesday’s game after suffering a lower-body injury during a second-period collision with Milan Lucic of the Boston Bruins.
Lupul left the Maple Leafs dressing room on crutches. He will head to Toronto to take an MRI, rather than travel with the club to Minnesota.
The 31-year-old has an extensive injury history. He missed time earlier this season with a broken hand and dealt with both foot and groin injuries in 2013-14.
The veteran forward has not played more than 75 games in a season since 2008-09.
Entering Wednesday, Lupul has nine goals and eight assists in 25 games.
