Lecavalier is the team’s all-time leader in games played and goals. He was drafted by the team with the first pick of the 1998 draft and played 14 seasons with the team. He retired in 2016 after stops in Philadelphia and Los Angeles.
He will be the second player to have his number retired by the Lightning after Martin St. Louis’ No. 26 was last season.
