The Toronto Maple Leafs have assigned winger Nikita Soshnikov to the AHL’s Toronto Marlies for a conditioning stint.

Soshnikov has been on the injured reserve list since Dec. 12 because of a lower-body injury.

The 24-year-old winger appeared in three games for the Leafs after being recalled from the Marlies on Nov. 14. He had five goals and 12 points in 14 AHL games this season.
